Summer.fi Earn : AI Optimized yield management app
Yield strategies are often complex and challenging to manage, especially for conservative DeFi users and DeFi-curious retail users. Our job was to create a hands-off yield product that provides a straightforward onboarding process, dynamic and transparent information to reveal on-chain data and activities, and an intuitive UI.

Goals
Allow conservative DeFi users and DeFi-curious retail users to feel confident earning on their assets without devoting significant time or effort.
Pain points
Based on the qualitative interviews conducted by the UX researcher, we found that:
Achieving high yields in DeFi is challenging because finding and tracking data is both time-consuming and complicated. The effort and risk often aren't worth the reward, leading to inaction and poor results.
It's hard to understand and get into yield because there's no clear way to see all the different opportunities, causing people to miss out.
Competitors' pros and cons
We found that the products in the market were either too simple or too complex. They often lack key data and information to help users decide whether to stake.
Design Solution
Simplified onboarding to reduce friction and accelerate user entry for DeFi-curious retail users
Created account/wallet creation flow similar to Web2 account creation, lowering the entry barrier.
Educated users on relevant crypto terms at each step of the onboarding process to eliminate confusion and build confidence.
Prioritized transparency to build trust
Showed exposure vaults that are selected and maintained through a rigorous selection process with risk exposure managed by BlockAnalitica.
Showed users' activity to help people know the market trends on-chain.
Surfaced AI-driven actions to eliminate uncertainty and establish user trust
Eliminated the black box by displayed Rebalancing Activities to reveal the actions that AI made to optimize yields.

Outcomes
Enhanced User Confidence & Ease of Use Summer.fi Earn successfully lowered the barrier to entry for DeFi. Qualitative feedback indicates that users now feel empowered rather than overwhelmed, viewing the platform as a secure and effortless tool for passive earning growth. This shift in sentiment has directly contributed to the steady increase in monthly active users.
